Bagheri Kani: An Agreement to Remove All Sanctions Effectively is out Aim of Participation in Vienna Talks

Tuesday, 16 November 2021 (YJC)_ Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister said that the aim of Tehran participating in Vienna talks would be to reach an agreement to remove all sanctions effectively.

 

 

 

In a video conference with Deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia and China Sergei Ryabkov and Ma Zhaoxu, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and top negotiator Ali Baqeri Kani said that the aim of Tehran participating in Vienna talks would be to reach an agreement to remove all sanctions effectively.
 
He referred to recent talks with f France, Germany, Britain and Spain about the future talks with the Group 4+1, and said “the main priority of the upcoming negotiations is the effective removal of all illegal and unilateral US sanctions.”
 
Bagheri Kani went on to put emphasis on the fact that “the removal of all sanctions and end to measures, which are inconsistent with UN Security Council Resolution 2231, in a verifiable way, would help Iran enjoy the economic and trade benefits and these are vital in the forthcoming Vienna talks.”
 
“Iran, China and Russia agreed that promote multilateralism and counter unilateralism is necessary,” he added.
 
Previously and in a message on his Twitter account, Iran's top negotiator and political deputy foreign ministry, said that the effective lifting of illegal sanctions was emphasized during his recent visit to the European countries.
 
He also traveled to Europe for four days for diplomatic consultations and met with the foreign ministries of France, Germany, Britain and Spain.
 
Also, following his phone call with the European Union's Enrique Mora, Ali Bagheri announced that Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) negotiations are set to resume on November 29.
