Masoud Jahedi, the Director-General of the Office of Trade Services for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, reported on the holding of the second session to discuss and determine the exchange rate ceiling for essential commodities. He stated, "In this session, attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, supervisory officials from the General Inspection Organization of the country, the Ministry of Information, the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Inspection and Performance Office, and chaired by Ahmad Khani Nuzari, Acting Deputy for Trade Development, the Secretary of the Vegetable Oil Trade Association and members of the Oil Extraction Association, global oil prices and the proposed prices of the relevant association were examined. The prices of various types of oil were immediately summarized and officially communicated to the relevant authorities by the Deputy for Trade Development."
Regarding the price of sugar, correspondence with the relevant association and global prices were reviewed. Due to the absence of the Secretary of the Sugar Association and the importance of the matter, determining the price was contingent upon a physical meeting and the official announcement of the proposed price by the association
